FXstreet.com (Córdoba) - The euro advanced against the yen Tuesday, supported by the lift in global equities and broader risk appetite.
EUR/JPY bounced from a European low of 96.85 and has risen more than 70 pips ever since, reaching a high of 97.72 into the North American opening. At time of writing, the cross is quoting at the 97.65 area, recording a 0.6% gain on the day.
On the upside, 97.80 yesterday's high should offer immediate resistance, followed by the 98.00 area. On the downside, supports are seen at 97.00, 96.85 and 96.70.
