Forex: GBP/USD: Pound, at 1.6000 in December - BMO Capital Markets

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - The Pound, which has been ranging from 1.6200 to 1.6600 during last two weeks, is about to weaken towards 1.6000 in December, and remain trading from there to 1.6200 till the second quarter next year, according to Dr. Sherry Cooper, chief economist at BMO Captal markets.
After ranging from 1.6000 to 1.6200 during the first three months next year, Dr Cooper foresees teh Pound reaching 1.6600 in the second quarter, to rally to 1.70 in the third quarter and 1.7400 during the forth quarter.
For the year 2011 Dr Cooper expects the Sterling to surge further, reaching 1.7600 in the first quarter and 1.7700 in the second.
