Bailout bill clears procedural hurdle in US House

WASHINGTON, Oct 3 (Reuters) - The U.S. House of Representatives on Friday passed a rule allowing debate and a final vote on a $700 billion Wall Street bailout bill.
With this procedural vote, the House is expected to begin general debate of the legislation, with a vote expected shortly thereafter.
