STOCKHOLM, Sept 30 (Reuters) - Riksbank First Deputy Governor Irma Rosenberg, who has recently voted for a less restrictive monetary policy, said she will retire at the end of the year for personal reasons.
"I will miss my place of work. But my period of office expires now and bearing in mind my age, I have decided that the time has come to spend more time with family and friends and on leisure activities," Rosenberg said in a Riksbank statement.
Rosenberg is Sweden's number two central banker behind Governor Stefan Ingves.
The statement made no mention of a possible replacement for Rosenberg, who sits on a six-person board that decides on monetary policy.
Johan Gernandt, chairman of the parliamentary council that oversees the Riksbank, said there was plenty of time for the process to select a new member to the central bank's executive board. Keywords: SWEDEN RIKSBANK/
