LEBANON RANKS FIRST IN THE MIDDLE EAST IN TERMS OF INTERNET EXPERTS
According to the “Internet Usage in the Middle East” report published by Bayt.com, one of the leading job sites in the Middle East region, Lebanon ranked first in the Middle East in terms of internet capabilities with 40% of Lebanese considered as internet “experts”.
LEBANON’S MASTERINDEX OF CONSUMER PURCHASING RESILIENCE IN THE SECOND HALF OF 2009
In Lebanon, spending on “children’s extra-curricular activities/private tuition” is the most resilient to spending cutbacks with the index scoring 98.9, positioning Lebanon as such 1st among 11 countries.
UNDP RELEASES REPORT ON DEVELOPMENT CHALLENGES FOR THE ARAB REGION
The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) published on December 20, 2009 a report titled “Development Challenges for the Arab World” in which it screens the main social and economic development challenges facing the Arab World.
CONSUMER CONFIDENCE INDEX IN DECEMBER 2009
The U.S. Conference Board conveyed that the U.S. consumer confidence index rose for the second consecutive month by 4.55% to 52.9 in December 2009.
