The INSEE consumer confidence index lost another point in October (at 84). The decline is modest and details are mixed. French households expectations worsened a bit regarding their own situation and the general standard of living and improved a bit regarding unemployment. The erosion of consumer confidence, albeit slow, is nonetheless continuous and pernicious.
