Inflation in Denmark fell from 2.7% to 2.4% in December, in large part due to sharply declining energy prices. Pre-Christmas sales, a rather novel phenomenon, also contributed to the fall, with clothing prices down 1.1% and household goods down 0.2% in December. January will presumably see further price falls, as sales discounts have increased.
