Schaff Trend Cycle (STC) is a popular indicator commonly used to identify or confirm price direction and market turning points. It was created by
Doug Schaff and is based on the assumption that currency trends accelerate and decelerate in a cyclical pattern that can reflect the dominant price cycle of any currency in any timeframe.
Developed in 1999, the STC is one of the most widely used Forex indicators today. Schaff created the STC “in order to improve upon the MACD and Time Cycle oscillators”. The resulting indicator adapts better to changing market conditions. It combines the benefits of trend and cycle indicators, and can be used with all currencies across all time frames.
After all these years, the President of FX-Strategy.com has decided to unveil his code because he wants to see how others traders use and modify the STC to help achieve their trading goals.
In the PDF below,
Doug Schaff offers the full code for the STC and a wide explanation about why he decided to present the code to everyone at this time.
This is his gift to the Forex Community.
