Gonçalo in 4 questions...
Why did you choose Forex and not another market?
Personally I like the concept of “exchanging” currencies, rather than “investing” in companies or indices. Despite some disadvantages a decentralized market place can have, I think pricing and matching mechanisms in the spot Forex offer great opportunities.
What is your trading approach?
The strategies I have developed are mainly mean-reversion ones: they capitalize on reversals of price to any type of historical mean, like divergence set-ups, trading back to the weekly pivot, break of RSI lines towards the zero line, etc... My approach is discretionary, and starts with identifying supply and demand areas with very strict criteria. One of my favorite principles of technical analysis is confluences between key levels.
What is your teaching methodology?
I'm very much into technical rigor, understood as the comprehension of the nature of indicators and the capacity to explain the concepts behind their creation. Only such an understanding can give the student the knowledge to grab the right tools when designing a strategy. I like to share my insights with the students and help them develop personalized trading models, entirely based on their personalities and characters.
Why should we follow your tutorial?
The tutorials we hold are for those aspiring traders who want a structured training methodology. Expect to be asked for a lot of backtests, and to see some of your believes demystified. The more experienced traders will fine tune their trading model with some discretionary overlay, based on technicals or on position sizing techniques.
