The ongoing sovereign debt crisis in Europe plus the very real prospect of a member state leaving the Eurozone has spurred interest in spread betting FX amongst GFT’s clients. GFT has seen a 50% increase in EUR/USD transactions over the last six months alone, as clients look to trade in this increasingly volatile market.

Martin Slaney, Director of Global Product Management at GFT Markets, commented:

“The steady stream of high profile fundamental announcements concerning the future of the Eurozone has resulted in some defined price action and in turn delivered some excellent trading opportunities for spread bettors. Our reduced spreads on key FX pairs provide GFT customers with an optimal position to capitalise on current and future developments.”

GFT customers can trade over 120 different currency pairs, ranging from EUR/USD and USD/JPY to the more exotic crosses such as USD/RON (US Dollar/Romanian Lei) and SEK/PLN (Swedish Krona/Polish Zloty).

GFT also offers competitive spreads on over 2,900+ global markets from metals to equities, bonds to indices and even interest rates.
