Current Price: 1.1581
Currency Pair: EUR/USD
Sentiment: **Bearish
Market focus:
Our focus today is on the EUR/USD
Fundamentals:
All eyes are on the ECB press conference later today where ECB President Mario Draghi will be closely watched by investors to assess his next move, with many thinking he will launch a QE program (Rumoured at €50 bn a month). **If Draghi does not step up to the plate as many are anticipating, we could see the euro rally as expectations of this QE program have largely been priced in the decline in the EUR/USD. The main point to watch for will be the actual size of the programme.
Technicals:
None at present. This move is likely going to happen very quickly so technical levels will depend on what is said. For now we remain on the sidelines with a ‘wait and see’ approach.
