Seeing further probes above the 1.1000 level as bullish structure see scope to further extend recovery from the 1.0524 low. Break of the 1.1049 high will see further strength towards strong resistance at 1.1087. Support at the 1.0925/00 area seen sustaining the upside focus. [P.L]
USD/CHF Daily
Limited to .9786 low on break of the .9800 level though the downside still vulnerable and lower will see scope to the trendline from the Aug low at .9730. Higher low sought for recovery later with resistance now at .9900 level and lift over this needed to trigger stronger recovery to the 1.1000/34 resistance. [P.L]
USD/JPY Daily
Trying to recover from the 120.35 low with the long lower wick on daily chart supportive of bounce. However, the upside still limited and lift over the 200-day MA, now at 121.59, needed to clear the way for return to the 122.23/30, recent lows. Below 120.35 expose the 120.00 level. [PL]
EUR/CHF Daily
Rebound to regain the 1.0800 level signal a long lower wick at the 1.0767 low and suggest scope for further recovery towards 1.0855 and 1.0877. Beyond this will expose the 1.0940 high to retest. The 1.0975 and 1.0767 lows now seen protecting the 1.0737, Nov low. [PL]
GBP/USD Daily
Engulfing-pattern set last session is fading upside pressure with intraday trade settled into consolidation and slippage below yesterday's low of 1.5108 will open downside to 1.5005 then 1.4957. On the upside, lift above 1.5240 hurdle will help bulls gain footing towards daily down trendline at 1.5294. [W.T]
EUR/GBP Daily
Rebound from the .7193 low yesterday sustaining the bullish structure from the .6983 low. Resistance is at the .7300/04 area and regaining this will see further recovery to the .7374 and .7400 level. Above the latter will set up scope for return to the .7483/93, 9-1/2mth range high. Support at .7193/64 now protecting the downside. [PL]

US economy: slower growth with stronger inflation
The dollar strengthened, and stocks fell after statistical data from the US. The focus was on the preliminary estimate of GDP for the first quarter. Annualised quarterly growth came in at just 1.6%, down from the 2.5% and 3.4% previously forecast.
