The following are the latest technical setups for EUR/USD, USD/CHF, AUD/USD, and NZD/USD as provided by the technical strategy team at Barclays Capital.
EUR/USD: We are bearish and would fade upticks in range against resistance in the 1.1320 area. Our initial downside targets are towards 1.1105 and then 1.1085. Below 1.1085 would confirm downside traction towards the 1.1000/20 area and further out towards 1.0810.
USD/CHF: We are bullish and look for a move above initial targets near 0.9845 to open the 0.9905 highs. A break above the latter would encourage our bullish view towards our greater targets near 1.0130.
AUD/USD: Having reached our targets near 0.7205, we are now looking for signs of a top. The 0.7280 range highs are expected to provide selling interest for a move lower towards the 0.6895 year-to-date lows. Further out we are targeting the 0.6770 area.
NZD/USD: The squeeze above 0.6585 signals an extension higher towards our ultimate swing target near 0.6670. Beyond there we expect the 0.6710 range highs to help keep our greater view bearish towards 0.6200/0.6235.
