Comment:

The FTSE finished slightly lower yesterday in a less than inspiring session. But this was to be expected ahead of today’s US non-farm pay roll figures due at 13:30. We would very much like to be able to fill this report with interested facts and figures, but the only fact that matters today is what happens at 13:30. Remember it the actual figure relevant to the expected figure that will make the market move in the short term, the wider economic consequences will be taken into account by the market next week.
