EURUSD Comments:

  • Anna Coulling:

The Eurozone seems to have consigned the Cyprus story to the 'old news' section of the filing cabinet, and duly moved on with the technical picture now starting to take on a bullish tone once again, as the pair begin to find some traction around the psychological 1.3000 level. Provided we see a break and hold above the 1.3100 area in the short term, then longer term bullish sentiment is likely to return and see the pair move higher to recover much of the lost ground of the last few weeks.

  • Dr. S. Sivaraman:

prolonged lower level consolidation is hold and buy strategies of the players- they are expected to rise big to book profits in coming days

  • ICN.com analysis team:

    Breaching 1.2805 would cancel bullishness

  • Ilian Yotov:

Uncertainty in Cyprus and Italy, coupled with weak euro-zone economic data and an European Central Bank not in a hurry to tighten monetary policy, could continue to push the euro further into the $1.20's.

  • Yohay Elam:

The Cypriot crisis could take a bigger toll on the euro, even if a resolution is found, after the EU made bank accounts a little less secure.
