Launching off of support via the 1.6025 barrier, GBPUSD looks to close above resistance via the 1.6100 round figure. As a result, the setup opens scope for an extension higher towards 1.6200 in the overnight.
USDJPY
Although still in relative consolidation, USDJPY continues to march higher towards 89.00. The afternoon trade above the 88 psychological resistance portends to a likely close above the 88 handle, opening scope for the aforementioned retest. Any converse breakdown will see support via the 86.25 figure.
